What does the artist think about in his studio? He thinks back to this volcanic island, somewhere in the Mediterranean. He thinks back to the colors and smells of Tangier where pistachio mixes with saffron. He thinks back to all his past or imaginary trips which still awaken his senses. Inspiration is a journey between memories and desires in the present.
